Description (Scope and Content)
            Includes minutes from meetings of the Superintending Committee of the Floating Church of Our Saviour. The first Floating Church of Our Saviour was established in 1844 and decommissioned in 1866. The second Floating Church of Our Saviour was established in 1869 and decommissioned in 1911. The Superintending Committee was founded in September 1843 with Rev. B. C. C. Parker, J. R. Van Rensselaer, George N. Titus, Charles Tomes, Capt. Augustus Proal, Pierre E. F. McDonald, Albert Journeay, Jr., Henry Fisher, and Thomas P. Cummings elected as members. The following years include the elections of new members to the Superintending Committee. 1844: Henry Meigs, Jr., Richard Sill, Andrew N. Greene, John Wight, Worthington Romaine, Charles W. Carmer, and John Davenport. 1845: John R. Livingston, Jr. and George C. Morgan. 1846: David H. Dick. 1847: George S. Parker and James R. Swords. 1848: Henry Rogers. 1849: N. M.
