Includes black and white photographs of the Seamen’s Funds Department at 25 South Street, SCI’s headquarters from 1913-1967. The Seamen’s Funds Department was also known as the Savings Department and the Seamen’s Wages Department. Mariners deposited money in this department for safekeeping, or to send home.
