Merchant Marine School Completes Five Years of Wartime Training
In September of 1944 the Merchant Marine School reported completion of five full years of wartime service training seamen. 8,931 men had trained at the School for entrance into the Merchant Marine, Navy, Coast Guard, Army Air Corps, and Civilian Air Service.
