Description (Scope and Content)
After nearly six hours floating in the Gulf, Tomás was finally picked up by a ship that brought him to an oil rig off the coast of New Orleans. 2 crewmen died after jumping overboard, and 2 more men were lost and never recovered. Tomás retired after the accident due to medical reasons.
